Volunteer vacancies

Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is looking for volunteers to fulfil a range of roles at several of our branches across Leicestershire. To apply for a role please fill in the application form.

All volunteers will receive free and comprehensive training at their local branch. Travel expenses are provided.

We need volunteers to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week, for at least 6 months.

Research & Campaigns

Help to identify local issues, create campaigns materials and contribute to national campaigns activity

Coalville branch

Advisers

Provide advice and support to clients across a wide range of everyday issues

Days required: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays

Administrators

Provide back office support (filing, photocopying, taking messages, calling clients back) to help the advice service run smoothly.

Days required: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Hinckley branch

Initial Assessors

Provide triage and signposting support for clients contacting the service for the first time

Days required: Mondays and Thursdays

Administrators

Provide back office support (filing, photocopying, taking messages, calling clients back) to help the advice service run smoothly.

Days required: Thursdays

Budgeting Advisers

Provide personal budgeting support for clients who receive Universal Credit

Days required: Mondays and Thursdays

Form Fillers

Help clients to fill in forms for a range of benefits, including PIP and Universal Credit

Research & Campaigns

Help to identify local issues, create campaigns materials and contribute to national campaigns activity

Leicester City branch

Receptionists

Greet clients, initial assessment and signposting

Days required: Mondays – Fridays (8.30am – 2.30pm or 10.30am – 4.30pm)

Telephone assessors

Performing initial assessment and signposting on the telephone

Days required: Mondays – Fridays (8.30am – 2.30pm or 10.30am – 4.30pm)

Market Harborough branch

Advisers
