15 May 2017: Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is reminding people to renew their tax credits by 31 July 2017
Tax Credit renewal packs are now being sent out to households in Leicestershire. Claimants must complete and return their renewal pack by 31 July 2017 if they want to continue receiving Tax Credits.
Dawn Mason, Service Leader for Citizens Advice LeicesterShire City branch, said:
“It is vital that people return their completed forms by the deadline if they want to continue claiming Tax Credits.
“If they don’t return the forms on time, there is a risk that their claim will cease, and if they re-apply they may find they are entitled to less money than if they keep their current claim live.
“This is particularly important for clients with more than two children, due to the changes to Child Tax Credit and Universal Credit that were brought in this year.”
