5 June 2017: Citizens Advice LeicesterShire Switch and Save Roadshow comes to Harborough to help people save money on their energy bills
This June, Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is holding four Switch and Save Roadshow events to help people in Harborough District to save money on gas and electricity.
Local residents who bring an energy bill or statement letter to the Roadshow can find out if they could save money by switching their energy supplier.
Residents who attended the Blaby leg of the Roadshow in March saved an average of £200 per year, with one household saving over £500.
Tony Wells, Citizens Advice LeicesterShire Service Leader for Harborough District, said:
“At the moment, it pays to shop around for gas and electricity, but the best deals are often found online, meaning that people who don’t have access to the internet can lose out.
“This is a great opportunity for people in Harborough to come to their local library and find out if they could save money.
“We also look at broader issues around energy saving, such as smart meters or insulation, or the Warm Home Discount that people on certain benefits or low incomes can apply for.”
The first Switch and Save Roadshow will take place on Tuesday 13 June, 10am – 1pm, at Broughton Astley Library.
The other events are: Lutterworth Library on Friday 16 June, Kibworth Library on Tuesday 20 June and Great Glen Library on 29 June. All take place between 10am and 1pm.
