21 March 2019: New Advice Partnership for Social Welfare Advice Services across Leicester City


Citizens Advice LeicesterShire and the Community Advice and Law Service are delighted to announce a new partnership that will continue to deliver Council-funded social welfare advice services across Leicester.

This will ensure that residents will benefit from the continuing provision of advice and information through face to face appointments, a telephony service, multiple outreach venues across the city and a range of self-help online tools

These services will be delivered from both the City Council’s Customer Service Centre located on Granby Street and from the Community Advice and Law Service office, based at Epic House, on Charles Street.

These services will commence from 1stApril 2019 and will continue to run until at least March 2024. Integral to this partnership will be Leicester City Council’s in-house specialist welfare benefits service.

The service will provide generalist advice, information and guidance across multiple categories that include; welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, immigration, community care, family issues and discrimination, as well as specialist advice on debt, welfare benefits and housing.
