Group Manager County Community Services

Liz Steiner

I started volunteering with Coalville Citizens Advice Bureau in November 2001, after moving back to the area where I was raised after 30 years away. I eventually became a paid worker and in 2002 became the operations manager and eventually the CEO of North West Leicestershire Citizens Advice Bureau.

When there was a merger of my bureau with South Leicestershire and Hinckley Citizens Advice, I became the Operations Manager for the newly formed Bureau and have stayed through many changes until the most recent one where I am Group Manager for County Community Services and Specialist Services as well.
I have always been passionate about the services we provide and the help we give our clients and really enjoy working through all the changes we have put into place to improve services. I am so proud of how our staff and volunteers worked with us to continue our services throughout COVID and how they embraced the changes that it brought. COVID will have a lasting impact on the way we deliver services but I am committed, along with you all, to making sure we continue to deliver first rate advice through whatever channel is available.

Group Manager County Community Services

Helen Matthews

I joined Citizens Advice LeicesterShire in January 2016.  My role is a varied one covering management planning and development, Property Management, Health and Safety, HR, training and IT.   It’s a busy role with no two days the same.  Time flies and I really enjoy the variety the role brings and knowing that my work supports services that provide assistance to our local communities.

Business Development Manager

Jo Thomas

I began my career in the not-for-profit sector in London, where I worked first for a campaigning organisation, then as Development Officer for a newly established charity, helping it to secure funding for its first projects.

I’ve worked for Citizens Advice LeicesterShire for 5 years, moving into the Business Development Manager role in 2018. My time is largely spent developing funding bids and proposals to maintain and develop our services. I also lead the Research and Campaigns team, which is vital as it allows us to use the information we collect about the issues facing our clients to push for wider change.

City Service Manager

Rehaan Adam

I have been working as Manager of the City Service since April 2019 and boy has time flown! The World was a different place then!
My background is law. I attended a local University in Leicester both as an undergraduate and postgraduate student.
I then went onto work for a local disability charity for nearly 15 years pretty much straight after. I have had the privilege of working with some wonderfully talented and committed people both currently and over the years. It’s a real pleasure to be able to empower the local community with our advice and guidance and be there for the most vulnerable when needed.
