Every day, quietly, staff and volunteers from Citizens Advice LeicesterShire are busy supporting people across the city and the county to find their way forward.
Working with 11,860 clients in 2023/24 on 33,546 problems, the local charity gives people the knowledge and confidence they need to manage issues such as housing, benefits, employment, immigration and much more. The local charity is a trusted source of advice, providing telephone, in-person and outreach services.

The Chief Executive Officer said:
“We are here for everyone, whoever you are and whatever your problem. As a result of the cost of living crisis, we have seen a 28% increase in people with debt issues coming to us for advice and support, and a 38% increase in crisis intervention appointments too, such as referrals to food banks.”
The City Mayor said:
“It is clear that the role Citizens Advice LeicesterShire plays across all the wards and constituencies of our city is vital in helping people to solve their problems. I am very impressed and grateful for all the work they are doing to support residents of Leicester.”
