Workplace Mediation & Conflict Resolution Training
Part of the WERK: From Friction to Flow programme
Targeted solutions for the friction your diagnostic found.
Mediation and training work best when they’re targeted -when you already know where the friction is concentrated and what’s generating it.
If you’re responding to a specific conflict or capability gap, these services are available as standalone support. If you want to be confident your investment is going to the right place, the WERK Friction Finder Session [link to /workplace-support] is a 90-minute, £200 starting point that gives you exactly that clarity.
Either way, our mediation and training services are delivered by qualified professionals as part of Citizens Advice Leicestershire’s commitment to making expert workplace support accessible to organisations of all sizes.
Why conflict resolution matters locally
Workplace conflict costs UK employers over £28 billion a year. For Leicestershire businesses, even one tribunal claim can exceed £8,500. Our mediation and training services stop disputes draining your time, money, and people.

Our approach to training and mediation
Our integrated approach combines:
- Training to prevent disputes before they escalate
- Mediation to resolve workplace conflicts quickly and cost-effectively
The result? Fewer grievances, stronger teams, and a clear return on investment.
- Effective Line Manager training prevents 60–70% of conflicts through early intervention, harassment prevention, and confident conversations.
- Workplace mediation resolves 85–95% of disputes that still emerge, at a fraction of employment tribunal costs.
- Compliance protection: With the Employment Rights Bill 2025, employers must show they took reasonable preventative steps. Training provides documentation; mediation provides the audit trail.
- ROI that stacks up: Based on average tribunal costs of £8,500+, preventing just five conflicts saves £42,500+. Mediation saves £6,000+ per case compared to litigation.
Mediation at a glance:
✅ Resolved in a single day
✅ 7–10x cheaper than tribunal
✅ 85–95% success rate
✅ Preserves working relationships
