We were honoured to attend the prestigious CIPD People Management Awards after being shortlisted for “Best organisational development or design”. The nomination recognised the exceptional determination, resilience and innovation that our organisation has demonstrated, represented by our highly effective “Unite – Transform – Inspire” 5 year Living Strategy.
The highly competitive CIPD People Management Awards celebrate excellence in HR and people development, with winners chosen from hundreds of entries nationwide and globally, so we’re honoured just to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation.
We would like to give a big congratulations to London Ambulance Service NHS Trust on their win!
Our Strategy
“Unite – Transform – Inspire” was a collaborative effort across the whole organisation, with an aim to promote stability, understanding and connection amongst staff within the charity after a turbulent period of significant leadership changes and increasing demand on the service. Staff vacancies were high, engagement was low and the charity was facing a projected deficit of nearly £200,000.
The organisation has seen a significant transformation:
- Resignations have nearly halved and early leavers have reduced by 60%
- There is a 77% reduction in the budget deficit
- Quality audit scores jumped from 50% to 70%

“Being shortlisted is a big deal”
Vicky Gutteridge, CEO of Citizens Advice LeicesterShire said: “Congratulations to London Ambulance for winning ‘best organisational development or design’!
We’re extremely proud to have been recognised at such a prestigious event. Being shortlisted alongside national and international organisations is a big deal.
I’m so proud of our organisation and how far we’ve come. With limited resources, our results have been achieved through passion, purpose and people working together.
And we’re just getting started – we have some exciting projects coming up, and I have high hopes for the future of Citizens Advice LeicesterShire.”
