Citizens Advice LeicesterShire awarded funding to support Blaby residents
We’re delighted to announce that Citizens Advice LeicesterShire has been awarded funding from the Blaby District Council Community Grants Scheme to purchase five new laptops for our advice team.
Every day, our staff and volunteers help people with some of the most pressing issues they face, from debt and benefits to housing and the rising cost of living. Reliable, modern equipment is essential to doing that well, whether we’re supporting someone in an appointment, working out in the community or picking up a case at short notice.
In 2025/26, we supported 1,768 people in Blaby with 7,356 issues, helping to secure over £1.1 million in financial gains for local residents and managing over £736,000 of debt. Our workforce supports residents right across Leicestershire, and this funding will help our team continue to deliver for people in Blaby.
