Citizens Advice LeicesterShire wins £1.8m Crisis and Resilience Fund contract
Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is delighted to have won £1.8 million to deliver a new financial resilience service with Leicestershire County Council to support residents in Charnwood, Hinckley & Bosworth and North West Leicestershire.
Funded through the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), the service is due to run from November 2026 to March 2029*. It will help people facing financial crises get support quickly, and then work with them to tackle the causes so they are less likely to face similar shocks again.
We will deliver the service in Charnwood alongside our partner, Citizens Advice Charnwood.
Residents will be able to get help with:
- applying for crisis support and other financial help
- checking they receive all the benefits they are entitled to
- dealing with debt, including priority debts such as rent or council tax
- energy costs, budgeting and building savings
- employment support and specialist advice where needed
We will contact everyone referred to us within seven working days. Support will be available face-to-face in trusted local places, by phone and online.

Full training and supervision are provided, including routes to accredited money advice qualifications.
