Join Our Talent Pool: Advice and Support Roles

We regularly recruit for roles across our advice services, and we are building a talent pool of passionate individuals interested in joining our team  whether now or in the future.

We recruit across a range of levels, including:

Administrative roles
Providing day-to-day administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the service. As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £24,454 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
Information-based support roles
Acting as the first point of contact (in person, by phone, or online) to help people access the right support quickly. As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £25,000 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
Advice Roles
Empowering clients with form-filling, letter writing, financial capability/budgeting, benefit checks and advice on key welfare topics. As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £25,000 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
Specialist Casework roles
Delivering in-depth casework, advocacy, and representation for clients with complex needs (including FCA-regulated debt advice, housing, or complex welfare benefits). As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £27,488 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
Supervisor roles
Overseeing the team's daily work, providing guidance, quality checks, and support to ensure standards and targets are met. As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £27,488 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
Manager roles
Leading the team or service area, responsible for performance, quality, decision-making, and delivering against strategic objectives. As a guide, salaries for roles of this nature are typically around £31,000 FTE, depending on experience and level of responsibility.

Roles offer full-time, part-time, flexible, or hybrid working patterns. Full training and development pathways are provided at every level.

What we look for does depend on the role but for all roles we look for:

  • Strong communication skills and empathy when supporting people in difficult circumstances.
  • A willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, digital skills including experience of case management systems.

Apprenticeships at Citizens Advice LeicesterShire

Apprenticeships combine structured, accredited learning with hands-on workplace experience. We welcome applications from people at all stages of life and backgrounds.

Apprenticeship pathways we offer/explore include:

  • Advice and Guidance Apprenticeship (Level 3) - ideal for general advice and casework roles.   We do provide our own training  but following completion we can consider formal accreditation.
  • Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship (Level 3) - suited to roles supporting clients navigating complex community services.
  • Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship (Level 2/3) - ideal for front-of-house, triage, and advice line roles.
  • Business Administrator Apprenticeship (Level 3) - for individuals interested in operational, administrative, and service support roles.
